The Croatian coast has been attracting the attention of foreign media for years thanks to its natural and cultural beauties, crystal clear sea and beautiful beaches. As Croatia is among the safest countries for post-corona virus holidays, this year it appeared more than ever on the radar of many world-renowned magazines as an ideal destination for summer vacation. From Bussines Insider who singled out 5 of our islands that must be visited at least once in a lifetime to Condé Nast Traveler who wrote last week about our most beautiful beaches.
This time Parisian Vogue wrote about the Vis island, as they ranked it on the list of top 10 islands to go on a vacation in summer 2020. Alongside the Italian island of Ponza, Lanzarote in the Canary Islands and Fourna in Greece, there is also the island of Vis, which is described as one of the most beautiful islands in Croatia – an island that promises a relaxing vacation away from the crowds.
Of course, it’s not possible to mention the island of Vis without Stiniva Bay, which is already considered a landmark today and which, thanks to its location and at the peak of the summer season, ensures peace. Stiniva is located on the south side of the island and can be accessed from the sea through a narrow passage. Inside of the bay is a small beach which is visited by numerous tourists from all around the world. No road leads to the bay, so it has managed to preserve its natural beauty.
Besides Stinva, Vis hides many other astonishing natural beauties. You will fall in love with the towns of Vis and Komiža at first sight, while you will simply enjoy the diverse offer of restaurants. From Vis you can also take numerous trips to the other islands – Biševo, Svetac and Brusnik, the legendary Palagruža, and the most remote Croatian island of Jabuka (Jabuka is a Croatian word Apple).
