According to the Croatian Environment Minister Miheal Zmajlovic, Croatia has been recently tested and proven to have the cleanest swimming water in Europe.
The results have been announced after testing the quality of water around 779 beaches across 7 counties of Croatia.
“Croatia has for years been at the top in Europe for its clean sea, and that we can rightly be proud of. In the last four seasons our swimming water quality was excellent or good in as high as 99% points of measurement. Our obligation is to work to preserve this situation and to transform this potential into sustainable growth and development, especially in tourism,” Minister Zmajlović told a press conference about Croatia’s swimming water quality.
Croatia has dominated the top three places in Europe for swimming water quality with Cyprus and Malta. “This is a massive title to hold and a great selling point for Croatia as a Holiday destination. It is good to have proof of what most visitors have already suspected. The crystal clear waters have been officially recognized as the cleanest waters in Europe.” Alex Pinion director of Pin & Pin explained upon hearing the news.
